From farrier to construction machinery dealer
COMPANY HISTORY
The company Fischbacher Baumaschinen Munich has been in existence for more than 100 years.
What began in 1914 as a small horseshoe and wagon smithy in the Neuhausen district has developed over the decades into your reliable and competent partner for the sale, rental and repair of construction machinery and construction hoists in the greater Munich area and beyond.
…master blacksmith Georg Hartmann registers his horseshoe and wagon forge in Munich-Neuhausen with the trade office. His customers are freight forwarders and breweries, as at that time, beer barrels were still primarily transported using “real horsepower.”
1914

…increasing motorization and automation are opening up new business areas. The “Mischteufel” and “Primus” concrete mixers are among the company’s best-known products.
1927

…the Second World War struck a blow to the family business. Georg Hartmann Jr. fell in Russia. An air raid destroyed the workshops and warehouse.
1945

… the company was renamed “Hartmann and Fischbacher Maschinenbau” after Alois Fischbacher, husband of Hartmann’s daughter Gertrud, joined the company.
Business areas continue to include the construction and repair of concrete mixers. In addition, there is the production of front-loading trailers, chimney rings, and concrete block molds, as well as the trade in construction accessories.
1947

…it becomes clear that, due to the company’s economic success, the workshop and warehouse in Munich-Neuhausen, completed in 1955, are no longer sufficient. The company “Hartmann und Fischbacher KG” acquires a property in the Moosach district.
A change in the development plan due to the 1972 Olympic Games initially prevented the building permit
1965

… the new company building on Dessauerstraße can finally be officially inaugurated after years of improvisation.
1984

…Gertrud and Alois Fischbacher handed over the company to their three children.
Georg, Peter, and Stefanie successfully managed “Fischbacher GmbH + Co. KG” until 2023.
1992

… Marcus Mayr and Moritz Zwez take over the business and continue to run the company according to its statutes: trusting cooperation, reliability and quality.
